Meet our experienced and friendly team
Owner and Principal vet
Joe founded the Caddy Veterinary Practice in 1997. He has always loved caring for animals and always wanted to be a vet. As a child he helped his parents rear livestock on their farm, mixing studying with the hard work of the farm. In the 17 years the practice has developed from a small country practice into a purpose built, state-of-the-art veterinary centre, capable of providing outstanding veterinary care to both small and large animals.
Joe likes to get involved helping charities in the local area and has worked closely with The Cats Protection League, The Dogs Trust and The Donkey Sanctuary. The practice also has built a trusted relationship with local councils.
He also teaches University students what they need to know to become a Veterinary Surgeon.
In the future Joe wants to continue growing the practice, whilst ensuring you and your animal, whether large or small, receives an excellent veterinary service.
Stephanie has been a trusted veterinary surgeon here at Caddy Veterinary Practice for 4 years now. At the practice she handles our more difficult and complex cases. She has a particular interest in small animal surgery, reproduction and neonatal care.
In her spare time she enjoys riding her horses Soli and Raj and walking her three dogs Skye, PK and Murphy.
Stephanie was voted Clydesdale Young Handler which makes her a great addition to the team especially when dealing with young horses
In the future Stephanie wishes to continue providing you with excellent veterinary care. She also wants to pass on her knowledge and experience to younger nurses by becoming a clinical coach.
Kim is the newest addition to our veterinary team. Graduating from the University of Bristol in 2011, she has spent all her working life in County Antrim in mixed practice. Her biggest pleasure is helping on her partner’s farm and looking after her own menagerie of dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits and cats.
She has a lot of experience caring for both large and small animals and hopes to further her interest in small animal medicine.
